Help us promote IAF membership
Letting people know that you value your IAF membership is a great way to grow our membership in Latin America and the Caribbean.
These three brochures explain membership benefits, key facilitator competencies, and IAF's code of ethics for facilitators.
Please feel free to use them in letting others know why you belong to IAF.
(Design by Christian Grambow for IAF Europe Team)

IAF is Now on YouTube

We are pleased to announce that IAF now has a channel on YouTube.
Please check us out at: www.youtube.com/user/iafcommunications. Currently, we have 6 clips from the Chicago conference.
It is possible for people to “subscribe” to the IAF Channel. If you subscribe, you will be notified whenever a new clip is uploaded.
Please also note our ability to list upcoming events on the channel. It is another way of getting the word out about our conferences.
We hope that members presenting at conferences will continue to support the channel by video recording portions of sessions which will make IAF synonymous with facilitation.
It is also possible for members with a webcam to record a brief session at their computer. This could easily be for things such as upcoming conferences, information about a region or chapter, benefits of IAF membership, etc.
If you have a video clip (which would be appropriate for the IAF Channel), please let me know
(communications@iaf-world.org) and I can help you with the uploading process.
Thanks for your support for IAF and its new channel.

IAF LAC Introduces Monograph Series
The aim of this series is to publish thoughtful writings that contribute to the art and science of facilitation. IAF LAC Monographs are detailed written studies of a single focus, subject or aspect related to facilitation.
These Monographs will be published quarterly in Spanish and English and may include other languages of the LAC.
The editor of this series and author of the first Monograph is Gilbert Brenson-Lazan who has contributed widely to IAF and the field of facilitation with special focus in Latin America.
Monographs are written by IAF LAC members. Submissions may be made to rep-latamer@iaf-world.org
Monograph #1 – The Facilitation Challenge in Organizational Transformation

Editor of the IAF LAC Monograph Series Gilbert Brenson-Lazan
Dear IAF-LAC Colleagues:
As you have already seen, Sharon's efforts have borne fruit and the first edition of the IAF-LAC Monograph Series has been published. Now it is your turn.
If you have authored an article from 7-12 pages already published or a new, on a subject related to facilitation that you would like to share, in either language (we will translate it into the other one), please send it to me for consideration for one of the next issues of the Monographs.
This is your opportunity to adorn your CV with a professional publication credit, and to help your IAF-LAC colleagues with your wisdom and experience. I am looking forward to receiving your contribution.
Warm regards,
Gil

Jamaica launches the first IAF Chapter in the Caribbean

The Jamaica Facilitators Network (JFN) which was founded in September 2010 by three IAF members: Sandra Cooper, Ulla Wyckoff and Gill Chambers, has taken the bold step of becoming an IAF Chapter.
The group’s goals are aligned to the IAF’s mission, i.e. to promote, support and advance the art and practice of professional facilitation through networking in Jamaica and in the wider Caribbean region.
Meeting monthly, JFN has identified three main objectives intended to drive future activities:
- To advocate for the use and understanding of facilitation.
- To offer professional development.
- To conduct ongoing research.
A set of Core Values have also been developed to guide the network which are:
- Integrity
- Humility
- Innovation
- Learning for Growth
- Fun
As a result of the membership campaign in the Latin America and the Caribbean, Jamaica now has 15 IAF members, making it the country with the largest IAF membership in the region.
Overall JFN has registered 54 interested facilitators, trainers, consultants, HR practitioners, coaches, project managers and other professionals. This shows a great deal of interest in the profession and potential for growth in the future. JFN will soon submit a proposal to IAF Global to form the IAF Jamaica Chapter
